The aim of the Butterfly Project, part of national charity NCH - the children's charity - is to provide practical and emotional support to children with a life threatening illness who live in the Warrington and Halton Districts in Cheshire.
The project assists families access a range of practical and emotional support services including direct work with the children and their siblings as well as bereavement counselling. It also seeks to encourage the consultation and development of such services in the statutory and voluntary sectors. The project is researching the need for services to parents who have ante-natal diagnosis of a life threatening condition.
